"Thou art called to labor in my vineyard, and to build up my church, and to bring forth Zion, that it may rejoice upon the hills and flourish. Behold, verily, verily, I say unto thee, thou art not called to go into the eastern countries, but thou art called to go to the Ohio. And inasmuch as my people shall assemble themselves at the Ohio, I have kept in store a blessing such as is not known among the children of men, and it shall be poured forth upon their heads. And from thence men shall go forth into all nations. Wherefore, go forth, crying with a loud voice saying: The kingdom of heavn is at hand: crying: Hosanna! Blessed be the name of the Most High God. Go forth baptizing with water, preparing the way before my face for the time of my coming." --Doctrine and Covenants 39: 13-15, 19-20

March 19, 2012

Hi Mom and Dad,
Hope you both had a great time in Idaho this weekend. How is the
family up there? Anything new happening with them? Well that's just too
bad that you were not able to send a card, I would have loved one. And
it's fine if you don't make a st. patty's day meal, you can just wait till
I get home to make it.
Well our week was pretty short in our area we
didn't get home until Thursday morning so we were not able to do to
much in Bryan. Sandusky is very cool and fun. So I was able to see
cedar point... that's the theme park I was talking about.  I took a few
pictures and it was right next to the lake.  It has been like
perfect weather here and it was a great week to just walk around so
that is what we did. So I was in Sandusky because we had a conference
for all the leaders of the mission.   Elder Moffett is a district
leader so I had to go to Sandusky so I wouldn't be alone. Elder
Randell is the Elder I served with.  He is from the Provo area and went to
BYU before he came out but we get along really well.
So we were not able to tract too much this week so no new
investigators. We did do a lot of service though so I am still
recovering from that. Since Elder Moffett has a bad back, I have to do
all the heavy lifting so my back doesn't feel great but I'm doing good
haha. We will find new people this upcoming week; I know we will. I am
still enjoying it so much out here and I think I will continue to for
a long time. Oh so Elder Moffett is going home in about three
weeks-- it's pretty crazy.  Then i will have a new companion.
Well I love you all and hope you had a great week.
Love,
Elder Ryan Furtney
