Hi Mom and Dad,
First of all HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!! I hope you got my letter; I sent it
on Thursday last week.
Dad, I forgive you for not writing the past few weeks and I hope you
enjoy the second job of selling pencils sounds like it will bring a
lot of profit to the family. I have been trying to work as hard as I
can so I hope that i am doing good. It's good to hear that everything
went well with Grandmas' service. I am glad that both of you were able
to raise me. Now that I look back on it, you both taught me so much and I
am so thankful for it. You are both great parents.
Haha Bishop Wray... hmm it's got a good ring to it. Tell Uncle Grover congrats
for me and I hope that they are doing good up there. He will do
great; it's a perfect calling for him haha.
Oh so this week ill be in Sandusky, Ohio for the first part of the week.
I am pretty excited I get to work with one of the Elders I came out with. Sandusky is a
cool place. It has one of the best theme parks in the USA so I'm pretty
excited to see it even though I can't get near it or doing anything
with it haha. The weather here has been amazing, except the bees
and the bugs are already beginning to come back.
So far this past week, we have just been tracting for new people to teach,
but not too much teaching this week. It's been a good week nonetheless.
Well love you all so much and hope you have a great week and
enjoy Idaho. I so wish I could see some mountains right now. haha Love
you all
Love, Elder Ryan Furtney
"Thou art called to labor in my vineyard, and to build up my church, and to bring forth Zion, that it may rejoice upon the hills and flourish. Behold, verily, verily, I say unto thee, thou art not called to go into the eastern countries, but thou art called to go to the Ohio. And inasmuch as my people shall assemble themselves at the Ohio, I have kept in store a blessing such as is not known among the children of men, and it shall be poured forth upon their heads. And from thence men shall go forth into all nations. Wherefore, go forth, crying with a loud voice saying: The kingdom of heavn is at hand: crying: Hosanna! Blessed be the name of the Most High God. Go forth baptizing with water, preparing the way before my face for the time of my coming." --Doctrine and Covenants 39: 13-15, 19-20
