"Thou art called to labor in my vineyard, and to build up my church, and to bring forth Zion, that it may rejoice upon the hills and flourish. Behold, verily, verily, I say unto thee, thou art not called to go into the eastern countries, but thou art called to go to the Ohio. And inasmuch as my people shall assemble themselves at the Ohio, I have kept in store a blessing such as is not known among the children of men, and it shall be poured forth upon their heads. And from thence men shall go forth into all nations. Wherefore, go forth, crying with a loud voice saying: The kingdom of heavn is at hand: crying: Hosanna! Blessed be the name of the Most High God. Go forth baptizing with water, preparing the way before my face for the time of my coming." --Doctrine and Covenants 39: 13-15, 19-20

HURRICANE SANDY - November 6, 2012

Hey mom and dad,

So it was actually not too bad in Ashland during the storm.  We had ton of rain and the wind was kind of bad but all it did was throw all those political signs everywhere. No power outages in my zone.  I think it was mainly the east areas by like PA that got hit pretty hard.  Yes, we heard a lot about New York and New Jersey -- that is so crazy! We were told that the church was the first to respond even before the National Guard!
So actually I am being transferred tomorrow so the area will be changing soon! I will give you the address when I know!
So congrats to Ari and Jack; I can’t wait to see this new baby boy in person! Maybe at Christmas on Skype! That’s very exciting and it’s good to hear Ari is doing ok.
Thank you for all the support and for the updates it’s good to hear about everyone! Tell everyone Hi for me and that I love them!
Love you all
Love,
Elder Ryan Furtney
