"Thou art called to labor in my vineyard, and to build up my church, and to bring forth Zion, that it may rejoice upon the hills and flourish. Behold, verily, verily, I say unto thee, thou art not called to go into the eastern countries, but thou art called to go to the Ohio. And inasmuch as my people shall assemble themselves at the Ohio, I have kept in store a blessing such as is not known among the children of men, and it shall be poured forth upon their heads. And from thence men shall go forth into all nations. Wherefore, go forth, crying with a loud voice saying: The kingdom of heavn is at hand: crying: Hosanna! Blessed be the name of the Most High God. Go forth baptizing with water, preparing the way before my face for the time of my coming." --Doctrine and Covenants 39: 13-15, 19-20

February 13, 2012

Hi Mom and Dad,
I’m sorry to hear the news about grandma and I hope everyone is doing
ok.  I am doing great here so I just hope that you are all making it
through this.  This week as a zone we were studying how the Book of
Mormon outlines the plan of salvation.  As I heard the news about
grandma, I knew that this study was for me.  It gave me so much hope and
peace and it increased my love of the Savior and of the Book of
Mormon.  I know that Grandma is in a much better place now and she will
have the chance now to accept the gospel and to be with Grandpa again.
I love you all and hope you are all doing great.
Love,
Elder Ryan Furtney
