Hi Mom and Dad,
I have been doing great out here in warren. It has been a little cold here and we got to see some snow a few days ago but not to exciting other then that. We have been very busy and very happy as well its pretty weird how fast time flys out here. We are already half way through the transfer its crazy but I love it, I am not to worried about two years haha. Oh and mom there is a member that lives here that served in the riverside mission, he served around wildomar and a bunch of other places its pretty cool his name is Brother Furness, he is in the elders quorum presidency. Oh so last Monday Elder Trammell told me that he got an email from one of his good friends back in pocatello and he told us that they were related to our family. Their names are Paul and Colette Ottis, I personally don't know them but I bet dad would so i thought that was pretty cool. Well since it has been getting cold our bike riding has slowed down a lot. Its not fun riding when there is snow and you cant feel your hands or feet. But we did ride our bikes a few times this week but it stopped after the snow fell. Oh and it gets so dark here at like 6:00 so tracting at night is not very fun at all. But sadly no mom we don't get anymore miles they expect us to suffer through it. Which I guess I can do it I just don't really want to do it. That's great that you are having the family over for a early thanksgiving, it sounds like it will be fun. That is great that you enjoyed stake conference this week sounds like it was a good one. Well me and elder stone learn a lot from each other and from those we teach. It is a great learning experience to be out here and I love it so far. There are so many people in this area that are really suffering from the economy and its great to talk to them about Christ and how our message can help them through this time. It is great to watch someone change their entire life a come unto Christ. Well its a sad day that i couldn't hear the great and inspiring words of dad but i think i can make it a week without them haha. I love you all and hope you have a great week.
Love,
Elder Ryan Furtney
"Thou art called to labor in my vineyard, and to build up my church, and to bring forth Zion, that it may rejoice upon the hills and flourish. Behold, verily, verily, I say unto thee, thou art not called to go into the eastern countries, but thou art called to go to the Ohio. And inasmuch as my people shall assemble themselves at the Ohio, I have kept in store a blessing such as is not known among the children of men, and it shall be poured forth upon their heads. And from thence men shall go forth into all nations. Wherefore, go forth, crying with a loud voice saying: The kingdom of heavn is at hand: crying: Hosanna! Blessed be the name of the Most High God. Go forth baptizing with water, preparing the way before my face for the time of my coming." --Doctrine and Covenants 39: 13-15, 19-20
