"Thou art called to labor in my vineyard, and to build up my church, and to bring forth Zion, that it may rejoice upon the hills and flourish. Behold, verily, verily, I say unto thee, thou art not called to go into the eastern countries, but thou art called to go to the Ohio. And inasmuch as my people shall assemble themselves at the Ohio, I have kept in store a blessing such as is not known among the children of men, and it shall be poured forth upon their heads. And from thence men shall go forth into all nations. Wherefore, go forth, crying with a loud voice saying: The kingdom of heavn is at hand: crying: Hosanna! Blessed be the name of the Most High God. Go forth baptizing with water, preparing the way before my face for the time of my coming." --Doctrine and Covenants 39: 13-15, 19-20

December 12, 2011

Hello Mom and Dad,
Well actually it is not out of the ordinary in this mission to stay for this long in an area there has been longer. But yes it is pretty difficult because i have been getting frustrated with the work here but now I am better. Actually this week we got a new Bishop and he is wanting to help us out a lot so missionary work will start going good here again. I am excited to work with him.  Its just been difficult the past few weeks because we are not teaching really anyone right now and so yes all we do is tract. Although we have had some success we have had three less actives start coming back to church and are very solid.  That has been the best thing here so far. Well its good to here that Eric is back and well and that the family is doing good. Oh and we are trying to figure out a place that we can skype for Christmas we already had a lot people say we can we just trying to decide where. And also I wasn't able to ask brother Furness but I will the next time I see him. Well thanks for the email.  Love you all and hope you have a great week.
Love,
Elder Ryan Furtney
