"Thou art called to labor in my vineyard, and to build up my church, and to bring forth Zion, that it may rejoice upon the hills and flourish. Behold, verily, verily, I say unto thee, thou art not called to go into the eastern countries, but thou art called to go to the Ohio. And inasmuch as my people shall assemble themselves at the Ohio, I have kept in store a blessing such as is not known among the children of men, and it shall be poured forth upon their heads. And from thence men shall go forth into all nations. Wherefore, go forth, crying with a loud voice saying: The kingdom of heavn is at hand: crying: Hosanna! Blessed be the name of the Most High God. Go forth baptizing with water, preparing the way before my face for the time of my coming." --Doctrine and Covenants 39: 13-15, 19-20

Hey Mom and Dad
So I just wrote a nice long reply to your email but right before I sent it the
computer logged off so now I have to be a little shorter in my
writing.  So it is great that Jesse got his patriarchal blessing I
truly hope that he studies it weekly.  I try my best to do it as well
because that blessing is so important and will guide you in your
life.  I bet Dad had an amazing talk but then Jourdyn must have just had
to wake everyone up after he was done.
So I have been talking with Matt and Brock and they are both doing
great. They seem to be enjoying themselves and loving to serve the
Lord.
So yes we are still working with our two investigators (Robert and
Israel). They are both doing great and progressing a lot. My new comp and I
are getting a long great so far and just doing tons of
tracting. He has been out just a little longer than me and just came
from Cleveland so he thinks its weird being in such a small town.
Well I love being a missionary and love serveing all that I can. It’s
amazing to serve the Lord and the joy that it brings is amazing.
The only thing I think that I need is just a little more money in my
checking account, but other than that I am doing well but if you want
to send something just for fun I won't complain...:) haha. Well love
you all and have a great week.

Hey mom and dad:
I decided to write you a great email about the some of our trips in Bryan Ohio this
past week. We tracted a lot and saw some members and also, it is very flat here.
Oh, I pulled a tree out of the ground (doing service... oh and not by
muscles more just by cutting its roots off and then pulling it out
haha). My temporary comp until Wednesday was from St. George so that was
pretty cool.  I found out I played soccer against him for all four
years... he went to Dixie so it was more like he killed me in soccer
for four years haha. Then Wednesday it was tons of driving to go get a
new comp.  My new comp is Elder Hapairai.  He is from Tahiti and Hawaii
and he is pretty cool. Also, he is a Spanish speaking missionary who
also speaks French and English and a little Japanese. Totally beats me
in languages haha.   I can barely speak English. We taught Robert
and also our Spanish investigator and set a baptismal date in May so
we are really excited for him. Pretty much I have been trying to
figure out what I am doing as a district leader.  There is a lot
more stress involved than I thought, but you know me, I don't let
stress get to me.  I just make a joke and move on. Well then the rest of
the week was going door to door knocking and talking haha. But on the
bright side I have been biking and I will continue to bike so all that
fat will be gone eventually haha.  I am enjoying the area pretty well
right now and loving the weather even more...   That was pretty much
my whole week.
How about all of you; how is everyone doing?  I was able to see
Alyssa’s pictures on her blog and it seems pretty sweet over there--
just a lot of sand and heat but still very cool.  I am very tired haha I
just noticed how tired I am all the time... but on the bright side I’m
not driving anymore so don't worry I wont fall asleep behind the wheel
haha. I am still trying to send pictures... I just have to find time
to get them and send them haha. Well I love you all hope to hear from
you all too.

Hey mom and dad,
Thanks for the email and all the updates on the family. Dad I am so sorry that you are losing your baby (pickup truck) but if it makes mom happy that is always good. She must not like how big the Tahoe is ha-ha... Love ya mom. Yep I'm pretty sure you broke down pretty bad when they left but on the bright side.... well actually I don’t know what the brightside is so ha-ha love ya.
Well I had a great Easter here and loved it so much. On Good Friday we went down to Kirtland with Robert and it was so much fun. I think that was one of my favorite times down there. We had a great tour by the sisters and they did amazing to help Robert out. Its great to hear about Ari I’m pretty excited... hopefully a boy but shh I didn't say anything. I can't believe Eric is going to move to Paris... Does he even speak French?? How long is he staying out there?
Well all is well here in Bryan Ohio. Elder Moffett is now gone he is headed home today and will soon be just Curtis Moffett. I get the new comp on Wednesday so I’ll tell you next week, Also I got called to be District Leader so that’s pretty exciting. Well I love you all and I’ll talk to you all later.

Hello Parents in the distant land of Utah,
Conference was so amazing and I was able to learn so much this time. I noticed there was a lot of urgency in their talks and a lot about acting and not just being idle in the church. Preisthood was amazing this year and I really hope it helps our work out here.  A lot had to do with the rescue which is what we work with a lot.   I know that there are people out here and we are trying our hardest to find them to give them our message and always keeping our spirits up.  We were able to watch Conference in our branch building. I do miss going to Priesthood with Dad as well but I think he will be fine for two more sessions without me.
So we are trying to go to Kirtland this Friday since Elder Moffett is leaving. He actually is leaving a little earlier than expected so we are going on Easter weekend. They have a special thing there for the weekend about Christ so I'm pretty excited.
I was able to receive the box and the letter as well.  Thank you so much. Oh, also, I did forget to tell that I did receive the package from the young women and, if you could, please tell them thank you for me. Elder Moffett did enjoy the package and we were both pretty excited about it. Elder Moffett is flying home first and going to school right away and then they are going to come back out sometime in the summer.
That's pretty cool that Uncle Grover is going to get Dillion.  That would be pretty exciting. I can't believe he is already pretty much done.  Everything goes by too fast out here. I bet he is probably dying haha probably doesn't want it to end -- just like every missionary out here haha.
Well I wish I could have seen Alyssa, Kent and the boys but I am sure they are enjoying the eastern side of Utah. Pretty dry over there that is for sure. I still want to go over there really bad and do some hiking and biking when i get back.
I am taking as many pictures as possible. I am driving a lot so it's pretty hard to take tons of pictures, but I will try.  I have a lot that I need to send home. I'll make a cd this week and send it home. And don't worry I love this apartment; it is very nice ( nicest one in the mission) haha. I have been taking some pictures of the branch building or as I call it -- the doctors office haha.  Bryan is pretty  amazing and I love the warm weather haha except for the humidity.  I will not move out of a dry area -- they are much better.
Well, it was a great week and it's great to hear from you. I love you so much and hope that you are all doing great. I am trying to write more letters to everyone out there (this includes inside and outside the family) but I haven't been home for the past three weeks on a P-day so I have no time.  Please forgive me, and I will write as soon as I can. Love you all

Hi Mom and Dad,
Bryan is pretty good.  We just got back from Cleveland today with a new car and when I say new car, it's really new (right off the lot) haha.  It's a Malibu so its pretty cool. This week our weather
was fine.  We were up in the 80's most of the week with a few thunderstorms but no tornados, sadly haha, just kidding Mom. It's good to here Cedar is the same because it's very strange here; everything is
blooming a month before it usually does.

So we are both very excited for Conference this week. I can't wait to
learn more from the prophets and apostles and I really hope that the
messages they share will help me throughout my life.
That's pretty exciting that Alyssa is coming up for the weekend.  I keep forgetting that they moved
haha.  We will probably be watching Conference in our little branch
building. That is usually where we go because we try to get people to
come there to watch it.

Elder Moffett is leaving to go home in about two
weeks.  He leaves the Wednesday after Easter... it's pretty crazy that he
will be gone soon.
I hope that Sheen gets better.  That is too bad he is sick. Someone
actually said yes to go to Prom with Jesse-- no way... it must have been for the car
haha.. That is cool to hear though.
We have been tracting a little but not too much.  We tried to make it down to Kirtland on Saturday but Robert ( our investigator) got sick so we couldn't go. Robert is basically the only one that we are teaching but
he is still doing great.  We are excited for him.
Well, thank you for everything and I love you all. I am doing great I
hope you know that.. Elder Moffett is a great companion and keeps me happy.
Love,
Elder Ryan Furtney
